D-hotel was founded in 2008 by a local entrepreneur with a passion for modern architecture. This hotel in Kortrijk does not belong to a large hotel chain, it contains character thanks to the distinctive story behind the hotel.
D-hotel is a unique marriage between a historical site and a new futuristic design. On the site of d-hotel, you find an authentic and protected windmill from 1841 as well as a protected inner farmhouse square. These historical entities are architecturally united by a new construction that is accentuated by straight lines. The concrete structure of the hotel is united with large surfaces of glass windows. These simple materials make you feel relaxed and serve you with a sense of openness. Several national and international designers took care of creative and trendy details in the hotel interior, which gives you a warm and homy feeling.
The green environment around d-hotel is not only a pleasure for the eye, but also emphasises the ecological character of this hotel. 500 Square meters of solar panels on the roof of d-boxx deliver environmentally friendly energy.
D-hotel offers 45 rooms, a luxurious spa centre, a trendy lounge bar and a cosy breakfast area. It also houses 5 multifunctional spaces which are well equipped for all kinds of seminars and events.
